Zaragoza hosts the second edition of the 'ChistorRuta' in thirty bars and restaurants

From June 4th to 14th, relive a unique gastronomic experience to enjoy the authentic Chistorra from Navarra with Protected Geographical Indication and protected under the Reyno Gourmet seal

From Thursday, June 4th to June 14th, Zaragoza will once again enjoy the second edition of the '‘ChistorRuta’A tapas route in which nearly around thirty bars and restaurants in the Aragonese capital which highlights the PGI Chistorra de Navarra, protected under the Reyno Gourmet quality seal.

The presentation took place yesterday in the space The Zarola from Zaragoza, where Abel Domaica Amezkoa, vice president of the PGI Chistorra from Navarra and CEO of Navarra de Embutidos; and Ana Irurita, Secretary of the Geographical Indication, presented the new edition of the route to participants, processing companies and attending media.

Abel Domaica, vice president of the PGI Chistorra de Navarra, highlighted his satisfaction at returning to Zaragoza with a new edition of the 'ChistorRuta' after the great reception it received last year.‘The response from both the participating establishments and the public was extraordinary, so we knew we wanted to come back. "To bring the quality of a product as much a part of our culture as Chistorra de Navarra closer to the public," he said.

He also thanked the hospitality industry in Zaragoza that “has once again demonstrated its ability to get involved in quality gastronomic initiatives, becoming the best ambassador to promote this Navarrese gastronomic gem”Furthermore, Domaica expressed his hope that this second edition "will continue to grow and establish itself as a highly anticipated gastronomic event in the city," he concluded.

The presentation event also included a showcooking Led by the La Zarola kitchen team, who prepared three gastronomic creations live, featuring the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Chistorra sausage from Navarra. During the demonstration, the preparation process for each tapa was explained. Chistorra cannelloni with cider; migas with chistorra, quail egg and cherry; and bao with chistorra, poached onion and honey mayonnaise. Afterwards, those who attended were able to taste them accompanied by DO Navarra wines.

In fact, the Protected Geographical Indication is promoting initiatives with the hospitality sector in different destinations. The aim is to share and promote this emblematic product of Navarrese cuisine with other audiences across Spain. With these intentions, the 'ChistorRuta' has returned to the Aragonese capital, following its recent tour in March through some thirty establishments in Zaragoza. Barcelona, and it is expected to arrive in November Madrid.

A route with flavor and quality

For ten days, the Participating bars and restaurants will once again offer the public an exclusive pintxo made with authentic PGI Chistorra from Navarra. The route format will encourage citizens to visit the thirty establishments and taste original creations with the highest guarantee of quality and flavor.
