
The Regulatory Council of the PGI Ternasco de Aragón has presented at the Kentya restaurant in Madrid a fifth edition of Roast Lamb Month which, for the first time, reaches other autonomous communities such as Madrid, Valencia, Catalonia and Asturias
The Regulatory Council of the PGI Ternasco de Aragón has recognized Andrea Ropero like new Ambassador of Roast Lamb for this year 2026, taking over the “position” from the first ambassador Luis Larrodera, who held it throughout the year 2025.
Andrea Ropero is a prominent Aragonese journalist and presenter With a long national career, mainly on various programs on La Sexta. Born in Binaced (Huesca), she has worked as a reporter on El Intermedio since 2019, after previously working on La Sexta Noche.
Andrea is in love with her land and with the foods of Aragon. And, on different occasions, he has acted as prescriber of Ternasco de Aragón, through her popular social media profiles. Recently, she also prepared and shared an excellent recipe for roast lamb at home, which she used to challenge chef Carlos Maldonado to beat it on the show. First presentation of the Roast Lamb Month in Madrid
Andrea Ropero's appointment as ambassador for the popular Aragonese dish took place during the first event of presentation in Madrid of Roast Lamb Month, that the Regulatory Council of the PGI Ternasco de Aragón has carried out in the restaurant Kentya of the capital.
Several journalists and communications professionals as José Miguel Monzón, better known as The Great Wyoming, They have discovered the details of the fifth edition of these gastronomic events, and have been able to enjoy the excellent “Roast lamb shoulder with potatoes”, which will be available throughout the month at the restaurant on Lagasca Street.
The main objective of this promotional campaign remains to highlight the role of Roasted lamb as a flagship dish of Aragonese gastronomy, identifying and promoting the establishments that offer it. And, in turn, encouraging consumption of pink meat both in restaurants and at home.
The most relevant action is the sample and contest of the Roasted lamb in the hospitality industry, This year, it is expanding its coverage to other communities, thanks to the efforts of national marketers and distributors.
A total of 120 restaurants in up to 59 locations, which propose more than 155 dishes with both traditional and non-traditional recipes. This represents a significant increase compared to 2025: 29% more participating establishments, 24% more dishes to enjoy, and up to 35% more locations where it can be found.

Also roast lamb in 20 restaurants in other areas
For the first time, and as the main novelty of this edition, up to 20 restaurants from other parts of Spain, located in 4 different autonomous communities: Madrid, Catalonia, Valencian Community and Asturias.
Four establishments from Madrid, ten from Catalonia, two from Valencia, and four from Asturias are participating. Most of them serve traditionally oven-roasted shoulder or leg of Ternasco lamb. But there are also some non-traditional ones, such as the “Ternasco de Aragón IGP lamb steak on mashed potatoes”"which has been available for years at the Uval restaurant, located in the Casa de Aragón building in Madrid; or the "“Royal of Ternasco de Aragón, mushrooms and smoked thyme parmentier”"Lino's restaurant in Castellón.".
