and had the honor of sharing it with the <strong>Aragonese Academy of Gastronomy<\/strong>, who received the award for &quot;a <strong>path <\/strong>with which he has contributed to the prestige and growth of the gastronomy of the province&quot; and with the <strong>Degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Zaragoza<\/strong>, who received the award for the <strong>investigation <\/strong>through &quot;the incorporation of new solutions and innovative processes.&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.el-gastronomo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/260619Feria-Alimentacion_P7A0313.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17858\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Attendees at the opening of the fair \/ Aranzazu Navarro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening ceremony brought together representatives <strong>institutional representatives, industry professionals, producers, and collaborating entities<\/strong> and the attending public, thus beginning a series of events dedicated to promoting the province&#039;s quality products, innovation, sustainability, and culinary culture. <strong>opening <\/strong>The official presentation was given by the Deputy for Tourism of the Provincial Council of Zaragoza, <strong>Cristina Palac\u00edn<\/strong>, who reflected on the <strong>importance of the gastronomic heritage of the province<\/strong>. \u201cWithout a doubt, in addition to the product and the people who defend it at its source\u2014farmers and ranchers\u2014the agri-food industry sector is extremely important,\u201d highlighting \u00abthe resilience of <strong>a sector that has always known how to innovate<\/strong> adapting to the circumstances.&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards for research, communication and career achievement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, the Deputy for Tourism, accompanied by the Vice President of the DPZ, <strong>Teresa Ladrero<\/strong>, They presented the awards to <strong>Rafael Pag\u00e1n<\/strong>, who represented the teaching staff of the subject &#039;\u2018<strong>Pilot Plant Practicum of the Degree in Food Science and Technology at the University of Zaragoza<\/strong>; to <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Vicente<\/strong>, director of <strong>The Zaragozan Gastronome<\/strong>, who was accompanied by the photographer <strong>Cristina Martinez<\/strong> and from the editor <strong> Cristina Arguil\u00e9<\/strong>;
